When you already have the equipment
A crew-only booking means you supply the agreed equipment. Send a list of camera bodies, lenses, microphones and lights that will be available. The booking team can then check that the proposed crew has the experience your shoot needs. Make sure everything is ready to use when they arrive.
When you need equipment included
Explain what you want to film, then ask for the equipment to be listed in the quote. Check cameras, lenses, sound and lighting rather than assuming that every item is included. If a specific camera is essential for your editor, say so before the booking is confirmed.
Compare the whole booking
Two quotes may cover different hours, equipment or file delivery. Check the same details in each one. Discuss who looks after your equipment, what happens if an item fails and when any hired items need to be returned.
